Community Montessori School is a small private school located in the Town and Country/Westchase area of Tampa. CMS has a Toddler Program for infants (18 months-3 years), a Primary Program for kindergartners (3-6 years), an Elementary Program (grades 1-6) and an Adolescent Program (grades 7-9). Community Montessori School is a private school where students from Toddlers to Adolescents share a unique relationship with their classmates and their teachers. CMS was founded in 1989 to provide children with a prepared environment that encourages the development of the whole child. This vision has become a reality over the past 22 years, as CMS has continued to grow and expand. Every program is designed to meet the child's needs at each developmental stage from Toddler through Adolescence, in accordance with Montessori theory. CMS began with one Toddler classroom and one Primary classroom at our Webb Road Campus and has now expanded to include one more Primary classroom. The Elementary program is a natural continuation of the preschool experience and the campus around the corner on Civic Road was established to house the Lower Elementary and Upper Elementary classrooms.
